City council met in-camera this morning to discuss the $1-million ruling against the City in the Bre-Ex case.
Council decided to begin appeal preparation and receive future legal advice from city solicitor Peter Barkwell. Council will use the advice to decide if they wish to proceed with an appeal of the ruling or costs.
The solicitor is authorized to begin an appeal if his report cannot be completed within the time limit for appeal.
