The City of Hamilton and Stewart Memorial Church are holding a memorial for Nelson Mandela on Sat. Dec. 14 at Hamilton City Hall, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Elize Hartley from the Métis Women’s Circle will open the service. Minister emeritus Rev. George Horton and United Church Minister Abiel Khalema, who is from South Africa, will deliver the service. Speakers include Dr. Patrick Deane, President and Vice-Chancellor of McMaster University, Dr. Gary Warner, Hon. Ted McMeekin, MPP and Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina.
