City Staff and Committee of Adjustment at odds over 5775 Twenty Road East Severance

City staff want to appeal a Committee of Adjustment decision related to severing a large lot at 5775 Twenty Road East in the Red Hill industrial area because the severance does not convey lands for a planned extension of Dartnall Rd. (See site map at end of article)

Staff wish Council to approve an appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board, after recommending the severance at CoA with the road allowance for future extension, but CoA removed it.

The property owner, Giuseppe DiCienzo, requested the severance to permit a future office/laboratory/warehouse.

DiCienzo is represented by lobbyists from the IBI Group Sergio Manchia and Matt Johnston.

IBI Group is requesting a delegation to speak to Council about the staff request.
