The first projected enrolment numbers for September are starting to appear. The student newspaper at Wilfrid Laurier University reports 3,192 first year students have accepted admission offers to the Waterloo campus and the university may “convert” single rooms into double rooms to fulfill it’s promise of a residence space for incoming students. (When universities promise you a residence space, they don’t mention the dimensions).
This number will fluctuate during the summer. Students receive late offers from other universities, choose to take a year off, or their circumstances change. There is also the end-of-summer bump when universities send last minute offers to college bound students who just missed the original cut-offs.
