Microsoft Anti-Spyware turning a blind eye to Claria (aka GATOR)?
eWEEK says that a week after acquisition talks between Microsoft and spyware company Claria (nee Gator) were first reported, Microsoft’s has downgraded Claria’s software in its own Windows Anti-Spyware. According to Sunbeltblog (the corporate blog of Sunbelt Software, which sells its own anti-spyware product), the downgrade came with the March 31 update of the Windows Anti-Spyware database.
