My formal note on the day ahead for my journalism is here: https://www.thepublicrecord.ca/2017/10/morning-coffee-notes-for-october-3/
I'm enjoying the start of fall, and slowly transitioning myself into a proper sleep routine. Started off well today; biked into work enjoying the crisp cold morning air, and handled a lot of content in my inboxes.
Of particular note for today, Julie Lalonde is speaking at the Hamilton Public Library Central Branch at 3pm, and the Waterdown Branch at 7pm, I do hope to attend the Central talk.
Morning links:
- I really like this initative of the Mac Student Success Centre "Hamilton One Bite at a Time" where students become "foodies" and explore a restaurant in Hamilton.
- NPR's OnPoint will discuss the decline and crisis in local journalism, as well as Bob Schieffer's new book "Overload: Finding the Truth in Today's Deluge of News". Looking forward to listening to both tonight.
