The North American Solar Car race begins today in Texas. There are 6 Canadian teams in the field of 24 competing to win the race which ends on July 23 in Calgary.
I’m not sure which team I should be cheering for. There’s the University of Waterloo team which I wrote about in the magazine last year. I probably should cheer for McMaster University since I know members of the team and Hamilton is my hometown. I think I’ll end up cheering for Winnipeg’s Red River College since they’re the only college team in the race and I did live in Winnipeg.
