It’s great to walk down the middle of James Street – literally the middle.
Open Streets Hamilton opens our historic James Street North to pedestrian traffic and is a great full day festival of civic life unlike any other. There’s no formal attempt to theme the street, things just happen.
One of my favourite parts of OSHamilton is the street hockey game. You can’t top having hockey on an arterial road.
This year, the game was at King and James – a great location and I thought an excellent way to show the city that Open Streets is not a traditional streetfest. Kudos to the team behind OSHamilton.
The hockey group Jackson’s Rooftop/Awkward Hockey has a Facebook page and plays on the roof of Jackson regularly
