The president of Ontario’s Redeemer University, one of the provinces private institutions, will be retiring after more than a decade as president of the institution.
Justin Cooper became president of Redeemer in 1994 and lead the campaign to gain university status for the institution in 1998.
Redeemer has expanded greatly during the past couple of years and has increased its community involvement in its local community of Greater Hamilton. This year, Dr. Cooper is actively leading the university’s United Way campaign and has been very active in supporting charitable causes.
Speaking as a Hamiltonian, I know it will be hard for the university to replace him.
