To get good insightful answers, how the question is framed matters. I missed an opportunity on Thursday
While, There was no dinner food service on campus except for bar finger foods last week. I was just talking to a student who was here during the week and he pointed out that the Student Union run diner on campus was only open for lunch during the week. I understand that we do not get much business from rez (The University of Manitoba forces students to pay for the meals that did not serve to them but does not allow the meals to be served out of the Student Union diner), as the students in rez do not have much money when they are forced to pay $2889 for 11 meals a week. Despite this, the Students’ Union should have kept our diner open till 7pm even at a loss for the Students who could afford the service on top of the University fee.
I will be making a motion to correct this for next year at the Council Meeting on Thursday.
