Ward 1 Councillor McHattie wants public to decide how his discretionary funds are spent

Hamilton city councillors voted last year to create a new slush discretionary funds for councillors in the old city wards 1-8. The new fund is in addition to the existing slush discretionary “inner city fund”.

In a refreshing show of transparency at City Hall, ward one councillor Brian McHattie is forming an advisory committee to assist him in deciding how the new funds will be spent.

McHattie is inviting applications for up to 20 positions on the committee. Applications are due April 20th.
