Who are these local weather pundits?

Reporters are robots, we don’t have any opinions or bias, but anonymous sources and the local pundits do.

Not only do these sources have opinions, their opinions can be used in place of the writer’s own.

I read my local newspaper today and discover that “[d]espite rosy predictions by Environment Canada and local pundits last week, this year’s [March] break is turning out to be less than record setting.”

Environment Canada did issue a special weather statement at 9:59 a.m. (EDT) Sunday stating “a few records are expected to be reached or broken at times in most places.”

The local pundits, their identity is a mystery.

I’d like to meet them, I’m always looking for people to discuss the weather with.

You’ll probably find them in your local news room.
