Government News Release advises of lift bridge overnight closures:
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians that the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge, located in Hamilton, Ontario, will be closed to all road traffic nightly from Monday, September 9, 2013, to Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Marine traffic will have limited access at this time.
These closures are required to accommodate repairs to the lift mechanisms. The bridge may be lifted during this time. The schedule may change due to inclement weather or logistical requirements.
