History repeats itself at SFSS?

Today I came across the following from a 1996 edition of The Peak:

After the summer hiatus, Forum members decided to begin steps to hold a referendum on SFSS membership in CFS. The move was sparked by problems with the CFS’ handling of SFU’s health care plan broker, and an apparent conflict of interest between the plan’s organizer, Joey Hansen, and the CFS. Hansen held positions both on the SFSS and on the CFS.

Interesting, it appears that SFSS has had this problem with Health Plans and the CFS previously. There has been plenty of talk about Shawn Hunsdale’s, the now-former SFSS President, conflict of interest on Health Plans being so involved in the CFS.
Hopefully someone at SFU can enlighten me about this subject. I just find this really interesting.
