ENDED
Environment Canada issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Hamilton just before 7pm Sunday evening as a band of thunderstorms crosses Southwest Ontario.
Environment Canada advises:
Conditions will be favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms through about mid-evening. Thunderstorms that develop may be capable of producing wind gusts to 100 km/h, hail 2 to 4 cm in diameter, and rainfall in the 50 to 75 mm range. There is also a low chance of a brief tornado.
By late this evening, the severe weather threat is expected to diminish, however showers and isolated thunderstorms, with associated heavy rain, may continue through the overnight hours in some areas.
