To get good insightful answers, how the question is framed matters. I missed an opportunity on Thursday
The University of Manitoba Board of Governors approved tonight a plan that will finally hook up internet in the residence rooms of Speechly and Tache Halls. Currently, there is no internet provided in the rooms and if one wants internet, one has to pay between $28-40/mth for the internet plus $35-50/mth for the telephone connection to get the internet.
Instead of $ 52-90/mth for Internet, students in residence will get internet for the entire time there are in rez for $60 a session (8mths). This is a great move on the part of the University of Manitoba and I am very happy to see it happen. The University VP Admin has stated that they are planning (and unless something unforeseen happens) to have Internet in the residences by September.
